| Brief Description of AssignmentServer Administrator: 1 Person
Server, Hardware & Networking:
- Ensure computer systems and database backups, archiving, data recovery and provide expert support when necessary
- Protect internal and external computer system data form unauthorized users.
- Maintain LAN and internet connectivity, products (Hub, Switches, Routers and Firewalls) and their installation and configuration.
- Configure troubleshoot and maintain active Directory, DNS Server and File Server on windows & other Platforms.
- Configure troubleshoot, and maintain Proxy, Samba, FTP, Web Server and Maintain Mail Server.
- Maintain Database Servrs (SQL Server, My SQL and Oracle).
- Adequate knowledge on Data backup and restore in both Windows and Linux.
- Support for Microsoft Windows client and server networking and application software technologies. Configure troubleshoot and maintain storage Systems.
| | Qualification & Experience of Server Administrator:Qualification: Minimum B. Sc in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) or related discipline & Professional certification MCSE, CCNA, Redhat.
Experience:
- Experience in developing and using drive imaging technologies, server and client based antivirus protection strategies, and robust automated backup solutions.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP
- Familiar with any enterprise grade Backup software; experience with Backup Exec is a plus
- Very good orientation with CISCO mid ranged Routers
- Familiar with Optical Fiber based LAN deployment
- Experience with any Linux distribution is a strong plus
- Experience with any enterprise grade Server and SCSI Devices. Experience with similar system as in SOB is a strong plus. Good knowledge base on Data Center/NOC Standards and Practices.

Other Details
| | a. The consultant should have minimum 5 years recent working experience in related field.
b. The consultant should be well convergent in IT sector.
c. Age not exceeding 45 years.
d. The consultant must have the capability of imparting training to the SOB technicians in the relevant field.
e. EOI is to be submitted by individual consultant with a forwarding letter.
f. The EOI must be duly signed and dated on every page.
g. The individual consultant must have postal address, e-mail and contact number.
h. The services are likely to commence on 1st January 2017.

| The Expression of interest (EOI) in four sets (one Original + Three Duplicate) must be submitted in sealed envelope, delivered to Project Manager, SDCC Project, Survey of Bangladesh, Tejgaon, Dhaka-1208 by 30 November 2016 at 2:00 pm and clearly marked “Request for Expression of Interest.” The consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedure of PPA-2006 and PPR-2008 issued by the government of Bangladesh |
