Apex Footwear Limited (AFL) is the leading manufacturer and exporter of leather footwear from Bangladesh to major shoe retailers in Western Europe, North America and Japan. AFL pioneered the export of value added finished products export in the leather sector of Bangladesh and is also involved in the local footwear retail business with the second largest shoe retail network in the country. Job Title: Deputy/ Assistant Manager (Sewing/ Lasting)

Job Description/ Responsibility

• Implement and achieve shift wise production forecasting.
• Assess bottleneck (if any) in production process and suggest improvements.
• Motivate and develop work force to enhance productivity
• Reduce wastage to achieve continuous cost improvement
• Ensure all machines are operated by maintaining approved SOP.
• Coordinate with QA, store and Planning department to ensure product quality & delivery compliance.
• Ensure operations as per process instruction and maintain documents in line with QA requirements and company policy.
• Implement Safety, Health & Environment measures as per requirement and company policy.
• Develop subordinates & ensure continual improvement.
• Maintains housekeeping and sanitation requirements; keeping within 5S standards.

Educational Requirements

• Minimum B.Sc. In Footwear/Leather Product/Leather Engineering

Additional Job Requirements

• Age 28 to 35 year(s)
• 5-8 years’ of experience
• Able to work in footwear industry.
• Should be able to work in an ERP environment.
